On 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes in to force, setting stricter standards for data protection across Europe.

If your organisation handles personal data, you will be legally required to understand and comply with GDPR. Failure to do so could see you face fines of up to four per cent of your global turnover.

To help you prepare your business for GDPR, NCC Group has designed a one-day course aimed at those new to data protection as well as experienced data protection professionals.

The course will provide you with an overview of the new legislation and the practical steps your organisation must take to demonstrate compliance.

By attending the course, you will learn:

  1. An overview of the data protection landscape
  2. The key differences between GDPR & the UK Data Protection Act
  3. The six GDPR privacy principles
  4. The rights of data subjects
  5. Who needs to be involved on your roadmap to compliance
  6. The conditions for fines being imposed & the articles which trigger fines
  7. How to keep data secure & demonstrate governance

With the punishments for non-compliance set at a significantly higher level than anything we’ve seen before, it is vital that senior management understand the impact GDPR may have on their businesses, be able to identify improvement activities and take appropriate action now to avoid fines.

Your booking is subject to NCC Group’s standard terms and conditions. By submitting your booking you are agreeing to those terms and conditions.
