The CBS is designed to help ambitious, early stage technology companies to generate product sales revenue. The service helps companies to:

• identify and remove barriers to commercial success

• improves sales revenue growth

• improve company marketing and sales capabilities

• improve long term growth potential.

Co-ordinated by Scottish Enterprise, participating companies will receive intensive sales and marketing support over a 12 month period from experienced private sector experts. Last year, the portfolio of 10 companies secured an additional £1.114M in sales that they attributed to the service.

Cost-Benefit

Phase 1:  Diagnostic Review (100% Scottish Enterprise funded)

Phase 2:  Implementation Support (50% Company/50% Scottish Enterprise)

This represents a minimum investment from participating companies of £7.5K to receive £20K of professional sales and marketing support.

Application Process:

10 places are available on the current programme which is scheduled to start in February 2010.
