Whether it’s Solitaire, Doom or Grand Theft Auto, almost everyone has had some experience of computer games. Now, as the technology matures and the Internet brings us closer together, come to Dundee and discover what’s possible when games bring education to life.
The eLearning Alliance, in partnership with the JISC Regional Support Centre Scotland North & East, invites to you to its fourth annual conference, Game to Learn, to be hosted by the University of Abertay Dundee on the 30th of April, 2010.
Listen to the key speakers in the field, try out some of the latest ’serious games’ and see for yourself how these games offer more than simple entertainment. It’s also an ideal opportunity to meet with others in Scotland’s eLearning community and discuss how we can all benefit from the application of gaming technology.
The one-day conference is being held at the university’s Centre for Excellence in Computer Games Education – the first of its kind in the UK.
Topics covered include:
* How games can transform learning
* Gaming for health
* Why business can’t ignore the computer game
* Delivering your message through games
