The XXth Commonwealth Games will be the largest event Scotland has ever hosted with the eyes of the world on Glasgow from 23rd July to 3rd August 2014.
The delivery of an outstanding games will require the procurement of
goods, infrastructure work and services of all types and value from a
wide range of businesses.
The launch of the Glasgow XXth Commonwealth Games Business Portal
brings together contractors and suppliers and provides businesses of
all sizes with the opportunity to find out about and compete for Games
related contracts.
The Business Portal is a free service for both buyers and suppliers of goods, services and infrastructure related to the Games.
Launch Event
BusinessClub Scotland is working in partnership with Glasgow City
Council, Glasgow 2014 Ltd, and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce to launch
the Commonwealth Games Business Portal on Thursday 1st October at
Glasgow City Chambers.
Councillor Steven Purcell, Leader of Glasgow City Council, will launch
the portal and will be joined by Dr Lesley Sawers, Chair of
BusinessClub Scotland, and John Scott, Chief Executive of Glasgow 2014
Ltd to discuss the economic opportunities the Games will bring to the
City.
The Glasgow Launch will be the first in a series of Scotland-wide road
show events. Details on these events to follow in the next few weeks.
