This is a fantastic opportunity for truly interdisciplinary teams to work together to come up with some genuinely innovative solutions to the challenges of
- servicing the growing demand for lower carbon vehicles – in domestic and international markets, at all stages of the supply chain
- faster introduction of low carbon vehicle technology and vehicles.
- EU and UK climate change targets that require significant reduction in carbon emissions in domestic and international vehicle markets
This event is intended to provide a forum in which:
- The key elements and opportunities of the IDP7 competition call will be explained by members of the Technology Strategy Board Low Carbon Vehicle Innovation Platform team
- Organisations can meet and discuss potential projects with a wide cross-section of other organisations from both the automotive sector and, crucially, from neighbouring technology sectors
- Organisations (particularly micro and SME’s) from both within the automotive sector and other technology sectors will have a platform to present themselves to the audience via a presentation session, and via a small poster display
- Embryonic consortia can network to meet and recruit extra partners into their consortia and meet in private syndicate rooms on site
As such, the following organisations should attend the event:
- Organisations who are specifically looking to engineer cost out of existing project ideas to make them viable for the automotive supply-chain
- Organisations who have previously completed LCV IP funded projects, and wish to further develop these project outputs towards production
- Both automotive-sector and neighbouring-technology sector organisations who can significantly develop the UK supply chain
- Companies with technology appropriate to the competition aims, be they micro; SME; medium; or large in size
- Organisations whose specialist validation facilities may be useful to IDP7 projects, and are interested in developing those facilities as part of an IDP7 R&D project, which also has a validation element
