FSNet2010 will reflect upon the turbulent events of 2007 and 2008. It will scrutinise the risks imposed by system interdependencies and, most importantly, address the change and reform that is required going forward. A unique angle will be provided by diving into the less explored world of behavioural finance and social factors that impact on decision-making, both for institutions and consumers.

The speaker panel will comprise some of the world’s leading business people and distinguished academics. It will not only be debating the key issues in the financial sector but also challenging received wisdom and exploring new ways of doing better business.

Chaired by Dominic Hobson, Financial Journalist and Editor in Chief of Global Custodian, with speakers including:
Anthony Browne, Policy Director for Economic Policy for Boris Johnson
Professor Dave Cliff, Computer Science, University of Bristol – WTF (Where’s the failure?)
Dr Michelle Ryan, School of Psychology, University of Exeter – Gender biases in decision making
Dr Michael Price, Psychology Department, Brunel University – Are bankers psychopaths?

FSNet’s cross sector plenary sessions will cover the whole financial services industry with additional sector-specific topics in buy side, banking and capital markets, insurance / reinsurance.
