"Chris Date will be talking on SQL in Edinburgh this May"

Chris Date, the renowned relational database expert, will be visiting Scotland in May to give a 2-day seminar on 'SQL and Relational Theory'.

This important seminar is based closely on Mr Date's recent book of the same name. This will be an exciting seminar for anyone already familiar with SQL. Like it or loath it, SQL (structured query

language) is now the de facto standard for database access. But there are many fundamental failings in SQL which make it a less than ideal tool to access a relational database. Many of its design features directly contradict relational theory, and so it is important that SQL practitioners know where these weaknesses are.

Attendees who register before April 2nd will receive a complimentary copy of Chris Date's book 'SQL and Relational Theory'.
