On Thursday 10th November User Vision will be hosting our 7th annual free event, featuring a range of fun and interesting activities and demos to learn about the world of usability and user experience.

They are delighted that our popular annual open-house event has been selected by the UPA as one of only five official Partner Events for World Usability Day 2011. Once again they will open the doors of our newly refurbished head office in Edinburgh and will be offering you the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of usability, accessibility and user experience activities investigating the role of technology on social behaviour.

This year you will get the chance to try out the latest cutting-edge technology including their wearable eye tracking glasses; try your hand at testing the effectiveness of social media in marketing, learn about the cultural difference between the markets for accessibility in the UK and the UAE, take part in a collaborative prototype design experiment, and hear a talk from our special guest and BBC client Jonathan Hassell who will be presenting some fascinating work on accessibility tools they have helped the BBC to create and the new accessibility standard BS 8878.

Their annual event is always a great learning opportunity as well as a wonderful networking opportunity, so don't forget to forward to your colleagues too.

You can let others know about this event by Tweeting using the hashtag #UV_WUD
