E-business creates new opportunities for organisations in all sectors. For suppliers of e-business products and services in particular it can generate new and global markets. As the pace of technological innovation advances these markets assume greater significance for the Scottish e-business sector. The software industry has been a Scottish Enterprise priority for some time and e-business is now generating significantly increased opportunities for Scottish companies. The aim of the Software and E-Business Supply team within the Scottish Enterprise E-Business Group is to accelerate supplier development – moving Scotland to the fore in supplying e-solutions to the world. Scottish Enterprise and its partners are developing and implementing a programme to meet the needs of the industry in a very fast changing market environment.
