Amor Group completes acquisiton of healthcare IT specialist

Leading business technology company, Amor Group has announced the completion of the acquisition of Invisys – a London based healthcare IT specialist.

Invisys provides a suite of market-leading software solutions and Healthcare consultancy that augments Amor Group’s existing public sector offering and is predicated to extend the revenue of the team by 10% within a year.  Amor Group’s public services sector team is already seeing increased demand for its specialist services and expertise. It is on target to deliver 100% growth over the past two years under Sector Director, Alastair O’Brien.

The deal heralds the opening of a London base for Amor Group and also enhances its international market penetration - particularly in the Middle East, as Invisys has established links with key targets in Qatar.  Amor currently has established offices Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Manchester, Coventry, Dubai and Houston.

This latest acquisition underlines Amor Group’s commitment to increase revenues to £100million by 2013, which provides business technology solutions to the energy, transport and public services sectors.

The move follows the 10% organic revenue growth Amor Group recorded in the last financial year, against the back drop of the challenging economic climate.  Amor has consistently delivered growth since it was established as a result of a management buy-out two years ago (the Deal of the Year Award at the Scottish Business Insider Deals & Dealmakers Awards).

Amor Group Chief Executive Officer John Innes said: “This deal reflects our growth strategy of delivering sustainable organic growth augmented by complimentary acquisitions.  It helps expand our global reach with best-of-breed products that drive international revenues.  We are well on track to achieve our goal of £100m revenues by 2013.  Bringing Invisys into the fold allows us to extend our offering in the vibrant healthcare sector that is increasingly demanding more enhanced, intelligent systems.”

Invisys provides market leading solution-based systems for the healthcare market and is led by former radiographer Tony Corkett.  Clients include Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Sussex Health Informatics Service.  The acquisition complements and enhances Amor Group’s public sector offering and will help extend its reach into the healthcare sector throughout the UK.

Tony Corkett, Managing Director, Invisys said: “I am incredibly proud of the business that we have built over the last year.  The combination of the resources and the experience of the Amor Group team, with whom we have worked in partnership already, convinced us that now was the right time to take it to the next level.  This deal extends the reach and opportunities for us.”

Tony will take on the leadership of the newly formed Amor Group healthcare business unit within the public services sector team. Amor Group’s public services sector team has won around £24million worth of deals throughout the UK in the last four months including the £18.5m contract to deliver ePS for the Scottish Government.

The latest deal follows Amor Group’s acquisitions of Manchester based FS Walker Hughes in the summer and global managed services provider DW Technology Services Ltd at the end of last year.

Amor Group is backed by investor partners Growth Capital Partners, Clydesdale Bank and Scottish Enterprise.
