Atos Origin Strengthens it's presence in local government
Atos Origin, a leading international IT services company, today announced that it has been successful in a competitive tender process securing a £10 million IT contract with Aberdeen City Council.
The five-year contract will involve the delivery of Managed Data Centre Services and the design and implementation of a Virtual Desktop Environment Project for 5,000 users. This is Atos Origin’ s first contract with a local authority in Scotland and reinforces the local government work Atos Origin is delivering across the United Kingdom. The work will be delivered from the company’s Aberdeen office and its Scottish headquarters in Livingston.

It is key to the forthcoming staff relocation to the new Marischal College corporate headquarters, and supports the Council’s strategy to create a more flexible and mobile workforce.”
Atos Origin is also responsible for providing core IT services to the world’s leading transport operator, FirstGroup, following a recent £10m contract award as well as a variety of clients including NHSScotland, Stagecoach, Skills Development Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International, and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
