Central Scotland Fire and Rescue seek secure wireless LAN
Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Services (CSFRS) have reviewed the current arrangements for the provision of wireless LAN for mobile ICT equipment. It has been identified that there is a requirement to upgrade the current system to provide additional coverage and to meet more stringent security requirements caused by the introduction of new systems.
It is expected that the life of the system will be for a minimum of a period of five years.
This specification outlines the ideal system as required by CSFRS. Whilst suppliers must be able to provide the functionality required, proposed systems may be offered which use alternative methods of working which will still meet the stated requirements. As there are a large number of wireless solutions available, we would welcome multiple responses, each of which are based around a different system or vendor at different price points.
