Computer Games Developer for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games

The Glasgow 2014 Strategic Group, chaired by the First Minister, has commissioned the Scottish Government to run a student contest to develop a digital game to mark the 2014 Games.
The contest will be open to students attending Scottish higher education institutions. The contract requires a computer games development company with the capacity and experience to work with the winner of the 2014 Commonwealth Games student contest to develop their game concept into a reality. The successful games developer will possess the expertise and experience of the technology necessary to create a web based digital game. The games developer is to work with the student designer to develop the winning concept and produce a final game which aligns with the ideals of the Commonwealth Games Federation and the Glasgow 2014 brand. The game will be free to play online via the Glasgow 2014 website. It will be hosted on the same website hosting solution. The game should be designed to be played in 2D, with vector based scalable graphics and simple music and sound effects. The game should work either with the keyboard or a single button mouse.
