FITSS 1 & 3 Replacement : Applications, Web Development and associated services - 2009
The Scottish Government has today announced the replacement for the Framework replacing the FITSS 1 and 3 framework contracts. Acting through the Central Government Centre of Procurement Expertise (CGCoPE) Scottish Ministers require to establish a framework contract for the provision of Applications, Web Development and associated services.
It is anticipated that the contract will be of interest to
companies able to provide services in the following specialist areas,
Technical Architecture,
Applications Development,
GIS,
Data Warehousing
& Business Intelligence,
Testing,
Deployment Services,
and finally
Support of Legacy Systems.
The contract will be available for use by the
Scottish Ministers (including Agencies), Scottish Non-Departmental
Public Bodies, offices in the Scottish Administration which are not
ministerial offices, cross-border public authorities within the meaning
of section 88(5) of the Scotland Act 1998, any public body established
by or under the Scotland Act 1998 or any Act of the Scottish
Parliament, any association of or formed by one or more of the above,
bodies financed wholly or mainly by one or more of the above, bodies
subject to management supervision by one or more of the above bodies
more than half of the board of directors of which, or, in the case of a
group of individuals, more than half of these individuals, being
appointed by one or more of the above, the Scottish Parliamentary
Corporate Body, the Scotland Office, Special Health Boards, the
Forestry Commission, Scottish Futures Trust, the Seafish Industry
Authority, the Student Loans Company Ltd, Business Stream Ltd and APUC
Ltd and multiple further or higher education institutions being
fundable bodies within the meaning of section 6 of the Further and
Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005 and research and representative
bodies associated with the further and higher education sector.Service
provision will be required in various locations throughout Scotland
including the Highlands and Islands.
However, there may be occasions
when the successful contractor is required to deliver services to other
addresses within the United Kingdom. Regular information will be
required to monitor total spend by organisation and to monitor
performance to agreed service levels.
