Fighter van der Kuyl bounces back
The chief executive of Brightsolid won’t be making any reckless predictions when it comes to the future of his internet services business.
In an interview with Kristy Dorsey of The Herald, Chris van der Kuyl talked enthusiastically about the company’s plans and prospects, and the latest year-end accounts, which are soon due to be filed with Companies House.
These will show a pre-tax profit of £2.1m on turnover of £13.3m for the year to March 2009, compared to a loss of £2.1m on sales of £6.8m the previous year.
It is the first profit for Brightsolid since van der Kuyl joined the company in October 2007, at the behest of DC Thomson and Noble Grossart Investments, which at that time each had a stake in the business
