Flexiant presented with e-Placement Scotland Award
Flexiant’s role on the Supporting Student Development programme has been marked this month with an e-Placement Scotland award. Flexiant is the UK’s leading cloud computing company and the award recognises the company’s continued participation in an employability skills programme, offering paid work placements to students across Scotland who are interested in an ICT career.
Flexiant take an open minded and innovative approach to their recruitment and growth strategy, and so were keen to be involved with e-Placement Scotland. In the summer of 2011 they offered student Diana Crisan a placement as a Software Developer and, since the successful completion of her placement, Diana has continued to work for Flexiant whilst completing her studies.
Alex Bligh, Flexiant’s CEO comments: “We are delighted that Diana’s placement has been so successful, and are incredibly proud to receive this award. We believe this is a very important project to be part of as it allows us to give something back to the industry as a whole. Through introducing new students to the business we are both encouraging and nurturing fresh talent, which can only have a positive effect on the future of the ICT industry in Scotland.”
ScotlandIS’ Kimberley Watson comments: “We are very pleased to have Flexiant on board, and hope to continue to offer support in the future by introducing new students into the business. The e-Placement team would like to extend a big thank you to the company for their contribution so far, and for ultimately giving back to the industry by helping to prepare the talent of today for the future of tomorrow.”
