FreeAgent scoops fourth award in six months
Online accounting pioneers, FreeAgent, are celebrating today after winning ‘Software Package of the Year’ at the British Accountancy Awards. The Edinburgh-based company fought off stiff competition from six other shortlisted competitors in the category.
The judging panel, made up of some of the industry’s leading figures, said: "This is a comprehensive financial package complemented by the latest cloud technology. FreeAgent’s product shows continuing and adventurous innovation combined with a strong focus on supporting their customers."
This is the fourth award that FreeAgent has won over the last six months. They were named Software Vendor of the Year at the Software Satisfaction Awards in October, as well as gaining the Business to Business award at The Herald Scotland’s Digital Business Awards and winning a ScotlandIS Digital Technology Award in June.
Commenting on the win, Ed Molyneux, CEO and co-founder of FreeAgent said: “We are thrilled to have won this prestigious award. We have worked hard to develop a product that is easy-to-use and transforms the relationships between accountants and their clients. To be recognised as the best by respected members of the accountancy industry - in the face of competition from other very successful products and respected brands - is great recognition indeed.”
