Glasgow4Business Week
19 - 23rd April 2010
In the current economic climate it is vital for all key stakeholders to work in partnership to support businesses, workforce and local communities. SCDI is pleased to be working with other Glasgow city based organisations and will play a key role in supporting their members to benefit from this important initiative for the City’s economy.
Glasgow4Business Week will demonstrate that the City is open for business.
Jenny Campbell, International Trade Executive with SCDI said "We want more new businesses to base their operation in the city, we want more businesses to employ local apprentices, we want more Glasgow based businesses to internationalise and we are certain that the emerging economic opportunities from the 2014 Commonwealth Games will have a direct impact on business growth for Glasgow."
The range of events in the week long programme will draw experts from all sectors of the City’s economy. Action sessions include information seminars, workshops on good practice, masterclasses from experts and real networking opportunities and will lead to a call to action for all business leaders to adopt some of the learnings they will take from participating in these events.
Glasgow4Business Week brings together over 30 support organisations to showcase their capabilities and to present some 200 business events
