Internet of Things
The Internet of Things Convergence Competition for Funding of Preparatory Studies will open on 11th October 2011. The TSB is investing £500,000 in preparatory studies to develop strategies for moving towards a converged and open application and services marketplace in the Internet of Things. Following the preparatory studies, up to £4m will be invested in a competition for a demonstrator in 2012.

In preparation for the opening of this competition, a free to attend workshop is being held at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22-26 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2PQ, on Monday 4th October 2011.
The aim of this workshop is to help companies to understand the aims and scope of the competition; to discuss Internet of Things convergence scenarios; and to build relationships with potential collaborators. The workshop will be multi-disciplinary and we welcome the participation of organizations from all relevant sectors.
