Iomart boss hails contracts vauled at £2.5m
Iomart Group, the Scottish computing services company, said it has secured a number of new contracts from new and existing customers.
The Glasgow-based firm also said it has continued to generate strong organic growth, particularly in its iomart Hosting business.
The contracts include several large and complex deals, reflecting a trend among mid-size businesses to outsource all or part of their IT services. Seven of the contracts won each had a total contract value of more than £100,000 and collectively had a value of over £2.5 million.
Iomart’s new customers include UK travel agent Flight Centre, leading production company Shine TV, producers of hit series such as Masterchef, Merlin and Got To Dance, and software distributor Softcat, a leading provider of software licensing, hardware, security and related IT services.
For both Flightcentre and Shine TV, iomart Hosting is providing the customer’s critical front end web presence on a managed basis, while it is also providing a complex hosting system to support Softcat’s blue-chip clients.
Iomart chief executive Angus MacSween said: “We are delighted to be announcing these contract wins which validate our strategy of focusing on delivering services from within every layer of the cloud-based hosting model, from the core infrastructure service layer to the complex application hosting layer.”
