Lumison acquire Blue Square Data
Edinburgh based Lumison, one of the UK’s largest, most trusted full-service ISPs have announced the acquisition of Blue Square Data.
Blue Square Data operates data centres in Maidenhead and Milton Keynes, providing a high quality environment in which customers can locate their servers in facilities with highly resilient power, cooling and network connectivity and high levels of security. It also provides customers with specialist on-site engineers to deal with fault diagnosis, software and hardware issue resolution and server installation and racking, as well as the ability to carry out technical project work.
The acquisition of Blue Square Data will more than treble Lumison's rack capacity enabling them to move forward with their objective of creating a fully integrated, high quality services provider, offering the full range of fully managed private cloud, IT and network services needed by medium sized organisations.
The Lumison management team aim to develop a successful mid-market managed IT and datacentre services business. Merging Blue Square Data's UK data centre business with the growing Lumison range of services and infrastructure, is a major step forward in that strategy.
