Mobile Acuity Invited to Blackberry Alliance Select Tier Program
Edinburgh based Mobile Acuity had a highly successful time at the BlackBerry EMEA Alliance Summit 2010 in Berlin. The company made the following anouncements :
• RIM has invited Mobile Acuity to join the Blackberry Alliance Select Tier Program to make Mobile Acuity’s leading barcode reader technology available to the wider Blackberry developer community, but they also announced that
• Dean Wood, former VP Global Business Development at NeoMedia and SVP Commercial at ShoZu has been appointed as Board Advisor to support Mobile Acuity’s growth in the barcode reading and mobile visual search sector.
RIM has recognized the value in Mobile Acuity’s barcode reader technology for the wider Blackberry developer community and as a technology for enabling great consumer shopping applications. Mobile Acuity’s barcode reader technology has recently been deployed in the award winning Blackberry shopping application, Sccope.

Mobile Acuity has secured a number of key partnerships for the company’s barcode reader and image recognition technology and has appointed Dean Wood to support the company’s growth in this exciting space.
