New Years Honour for Glasgow's Professor Calder
Muffy Calder, Professor of Formal Methods at the University of Glasgow, has been awarded an OBE for services to Computing Science in this year's New Years Honours List. Her research is in modelling and reasoning about the behaviour of complex software and biochemical systems using computer science, mathematics and automated reasoning techniques. She is currently working with researchers from cardiovascular medicine.
Chair of the UK Computing Research Committee, Muffy is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the British Computer Society and the Institution of Electrical Engineering, and is a member of the board of the BCS Academy of Computing.
