Open Plus Ltd Expands Service Delivery Facility in Harrogate
Open Plus Ltd, the Edinburgh based IT strategy, management and development company, this month moved its Harrogate team into a larger facility in the centre of the North Yorkshire town
Known for its iron and sulphur rich waters, quaint tea-rooms and its proximity to the Yorkshire Dales national park, the picturesque spa town of Harrogate is ideal for Open Plus' service plans.
Well connected to the rest of the UK, Harrogate is close to the M1 with excellent links to London, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester and half an hour from York and Leeds.
Open Plus has had a presence in the town since the autumn of 2010 and on earlier in March the team moved into new, larger offices on Station Bridge.
As well as being a tourist destination, Harrogate's economy is known for its focus on the conference and exhibition industry. However, in recent years there has been considerable growth in the technology sector's presence in the town and Open Plus has played an active role in this.
'Extremely well placed'
According to Steve Drew, Service Delivery Manager at Open Plus, “Harrogate is a fantastic location with an increasingly dynamic business scene. The new office here is extremely well placed to serve
the UK market and we expect to experience even further growth in 2011.”
Open Plus is currently experiencing considerable expansion generally, not only in the Harrogate
Office but also in its Scottish and Hungarian bases. “The move in Harrogate demonstrates our commitment to building a world-class service centre for
open-source technology in the UK,” said Andrew Sykes, CEO of Open Plus. The company also has plans to upgrade its Edinburgh facility in the coming months.
