Pilgrim Systems secure £1m deal
Pilgrim Systems has secured a £1 million deal for its management software system from fast-growing Birmingham law firm Shakespeare Putsman. Edinburgh-based Pilgrim's product LawSoft will support Shakespeare's three-way merger with Needham & James, based in Stratford upon Avon, and Berryman, a Nottingham practice. The merged firm will have more than 500 staff and become one of Britain's 60 largest law firms. In order to combine multiple business styles and cultures in a short space of time Shakespeare Putsman has realised that strong technology must underpin its business practices.
Pilgrim specialise in developing Matter, Case and Practice Management Software and have just released LawSoft 10, which features an interface refresh plus numerous enhancements and benefits for user.
Pilgrim has enjoyed significant growth in 2010, winning numerous new contracts and additional business from existing clients, particularly south of the Border. The company has hired a number of staff and created strategic roles to capitalise on its ongoing growth. It employs more than 60 staff. Colin Kennedy, chief operating officer, said: "This is a significant win for us and underlines the strong growth we have experienced this year."
