Software Development and support framework.
The
NHS in Scotland has a requirement for various software developments and
web based developments; for ongoing maintenance and fixing of software
and occasional trouble-shooting of software problems on servers not
covered by existing NSS agreements.
To support this work within NHS
Scotland, NSS is seeking to establish a framework comprising of
providers who can provide a comprehensive range of development and
supportservices.Any IPR resulting from work under this framework will
require to be owned by the commissioning Health Board, the Scottish
Government Health Department or NSS and there must be nothing to
restrict or prevent its free use across all of the Public Sector in
Scotland. It is envisaged that those providers that are appointed to
the framework will compete for packages of work through mini
competitions, however providers will also be required to provide fixed
prices for the services, including packages and discounted rates, to
enable one-stage call offs to take place under the framework.
The
contract will be let as a multi-supplier framework by NSS which may be
accessed by other Health Boards, Special Health Boards and by the
Scottish Government Health Department.
