Telegraph launches Tech Start-Up 100
The Telegraph is working with a panel of expert judges to create the most authoritative and trustworthy list of promising technology start-ups in Europe.
There are already a couple of annual lists of companies to watch in the European technology start-up community. But The Telegraph team think they're pretty unsatisfactory: either unashamedly "finger in the wind" or backed by corporates with an interest in selling conference tickets. So they've decided to try something different.
Early next year, The Telegraph will release its first Tech Start-Up 100, in an attempt to create the most reliable, authoritative and trustworthy guide to exciting young tech firms throughout the continent.
According to The Telegraph "We think the key to success and credibility in a project like this is the quality of the judging panel. We don't want to fill the panel with the usual, media-friendly suspects (just like we don't want our start-up list to consist of the same old faces). Instead, we're assembling a world-class roster of industry experts - serial entrepreneurs, investors and others - who we believe have the knowledge and experience to separate high-growth, high-value start-ups from the ones who make all the noise."
