Thought Leadership - 10BigThings

With just three weeks to go until ScotSoft 2010 and 10BigThings Global Forum here's a taster of what to expect during the day. We have five stimulating speakers lined up for the Global Forum, to share their next ‘Big Things’ with us all. These are :

Court Coursey (Managing Partner, TomorrowVentures LLC)
Ewan McIntosh (Founder of No Tosh and 38minutes.co.uk)

We'll be circulating wee thumbnails of the speakers over the next  couple of weeks so here's the first couple :

Court Coursey – Court is an innovative and established entrepreneur having found his first business at the age of fourteen and continuing on a path of building businesses ever since. Heavily involved in the incubation, development, and strategic planning of high-growth companies in the finance, media, entertainment and technology industries, Court serves on the Boards of Prosper, giiv, Inter Inc, Cx, and Ceiba Wireless.

Court will address : 'The importance of venture capital in innovation' and 'Global Financial Recovery – The various stages'

Ewan McIntosh – Ewan is one of Europe’s foremost experts in digital media for public services, particularly in Education. He was a key player in setting up 4IP, one of the most ambitious investment funds from a public service provider in the UK, and is the power behind 38minutes.co.uk a community network for digital and creative media in Scotland and North East of England.

Ewan will explore two themes; firstly, 'institutions present futures that perpetuate their own existence' –  and secondly ' People don’t want stuff done for, to or at them anymore. They want the tools to do it themselves'.
