Young Software Engineer of the Year Awards
A talented student from the University of Edinburgh has been named Young Software Engineer of the Year. Michal Bartosik won first prize for his exceptional project which allowed humanoid robots to learn new skills by imitating the human motion which is obtained from an on-body wireless motion capture system.
He was closely followed by Liam McBrien's project aimed at reducing pilot error in small commercial aircraft which took second place. Third place was won by Gerard O'Donnell for his Emergency Ski Response Project. The Real Time award given to the project that best demonstrates excellent software engineering skills was won by Craig Paul.
