Scots recruiters move into greenest office in the UK

LEADING Scottish IT recruitment firm, Head Resourcing, has taken action to protect the environment by moving into the greenest office in the UK.

The Edinburgh-based recruitment firm has moved its newest branch into the Icon Business Centre in Leeds in a bid to significantly reduce the impact their business has on the environment.

More than 25% of the green office is made from recycled products and aims to greatly reduce carbon dioxide emissions and average water consumption per person, per year.

Head Resourcing specifically chose this eco-friendly office because of its high score under the BRE Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM). For over a decade, this test has been used to assess the environmental performance of new and existing buildings and is regarded as the UK’s official measure of best practice in environmental management and design.

Manager of Head Resourcing North, Nick Faulding-Middleton said: “We are conscious that businesses can affect the environment in a negative way. As a result we made it a priority to base our newest branch in a building with impressive green credentials. Head Resourcing has enjoyed substantial growth in the past year and are delighted to be expanding our office footprint in an environmentally friendly way.”
