Scottish Ruby Conference

Earlier this year over 220 attendees and speakers from around the UK, Europe and US came together in Edinburgh for the sell-out Scotland on Rails conference. Next year we have a new name and a prestigious new location with a greater capacity: the Scottish Ruby Conference will be held at the Royal College of Physicians, in the heart of Edinburgh, on Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27 March 2010.

We plan to hold the now traditional charity tutorial the day before the conference. The charity will again be The Children's Hospice Association of Scotland, for which we have already raised £10,000. Watch out for further announcements.

Keynotes Jim Weirich and Tim Bray have already confirmed, and we are now soliciting session proposals. Again we are aiming for a mix of new and experienced speakers.  All sessions that are likely to appeal to an audience of Rubyists will be considered.

Please submit through the Scottish Ruby Conference website. Registration is required.

Sessions should be 45 minutes long, including time for discussion and questions. The closing date for submissions is January 18.

We expect to open for Early Bird registration in January. Watch out for news on the website, and by following us on Twitter here.

PS If you can't wait until March, keynote Jim Weirich, regular speaker Joe O'Brien and organiser Paul are holding Ruby and Ruby on Rails training in Edinburgh in November.  Use the discount code SRC2010 for a 25% discount on registering
