A new online jobs board is hoping to change the face of ICT recruitment in Scotland.
Launching in July, TechJobsScotland.co.uk has been created by recruitment industry veterans Ben Hanley and Ian Tickell, in association with Hi-Tech Scotland.com, the leading source of Scottish ICT news.
Ben Hanley said: “In 2009, the Recession has only heightened the demand for quality ICT professionals. Until now, the cost of acquiring excellent ICT candidates has been steep. The new realities of recruitment mean that traditional models have become increasingly ineffective and unattractive to employers seeking the best tech talent. There's a gap in the market for a niche job board which focuses solely on the Scottish ICT sector. That’s where TechJobsScotland.co.uk comes in.”
Ian Tickell added: “TechJobsScotland.co.uk has been designed and built specifically to serve the sector's recruitment needs . We aim to drive down costs, improve candidate quality and promote the future development of our national ICT skill-base whilst avoiding the message dilution of cumbersome multi-sector posting sites.
“Over the next 6 months, we anticipate TechJobsScotland becoming the leading source of Scottish technology jobs information. Our unique cost structure makes it easy and inexpensive to put ICT vacancies before tens of thousands of active and passive candidates.”
