Conscia Enterprise Systems, a Glasgow-based software firm, has been snapped up by Aim-listed IT specialist System C Healthcare for £800,000. System C, which provides IT products and services to the health and social care sectors, said it was buying Conscia for its "significant web development expertise", which includes e-commerce and mobile computing applications.
In the year to 30 June, ScotlandIS member Conscia reported revenues of £1.2 million and a pre-tax profit of £200,000. System C said it funded the acquisition through its own cash resources.
Mark Buchner, Director of Conscia commented "Aligning our healthcare work with System C makes real strateguc sense, allowing us to move from "information" systems to "clinical" systems."
