To meet the increasing demand for people with world class skills in computing and the pace of change within the industry, it is essential that our colleges and universities ensure college leavers and graduates have the right blend of technical and interpersonal skills for the modern workforce.
The Digital Skills Partnership (DSP) was established in August 2017, with the support of the Scottish Funding Council and Skills Development Scotland, to create a new collaborative partnership between colleges, universities and industry, to ensure that the education system is more aligned to changing skills requirements.
The DSP’s main objectives are:
The DSP is led by an Advisory Board which is chaired by Joanna Campbell, Vice Principal Student Experience at the City of Glasgow College. The Board, together with industry, drives forward the activity of the DSP.
Advisory Board membership consists of a cross section of universities and colleges. Currently it has the following members:
City of Glasgow College; Dundee & Angus College; Edinburgh College; Edinburgh Napier University; the Energy Skills Partnership; Glasgow Caledonian University; New College Lanarkshire; Robert Gordon University; ScotlandIS; the Scottish Funding Council; Skills Development Scotland; the University of St Andrews; the University of Dundee; the University of Edinburgh; the University of Glasgow; the University of the Highlands and Islands and the University of the West of Scotland.
