This year's prestigious judging panel both individually and collectively represent the best in Scottish industry and will draw on their vast experience to judge all the entries across the 12 awards.

  • Chair of the Judging Panel - Martin Mutch: Chair QikServe

    I am fortunate to have worked with many successful organisations and talented people over the past 30 years, initial in staff roles then as a founder/CEO and latterly as an investor, advisor, NXD and now in a chair role.

    The Digital Economy in Scotland is doing well with huge potential and I'm enjoying working with business leaders and founders in some truly pioneering businesses with significant global opportunity.

    Since 2013 I have also been working with a group of current and former pro-photographers, creatives and plain appreciators of photography, to establish an annual not-for-profit Festival of Photography in Scotland.

    The festival had its first edition in 2014 and 2017 will be the best yet.

  • Head of Business Development - Jude McCorry: The DataLab

    Jude has over 15 years experience in Sales and Marketing in the Technology Sector working with B2B and public sector for companies like Dell, Firefly Communications and Xnet Data Storage. Jude has also worked in Academia at Edinburgh Napier University where she set up their commercial arm – The Edinburgh Institute - providing leading edge practice based executive education to Scottish Executives. 

  • Vice President, Public Sector - Maggie Morrison: CGI Scotland

    In January 2014 Maggie Morrison was appointed Director, Business Development, Public Sector CGI Scotland. Prior to joining CGI Maggie was Account General Manager for Hewlett Packard, Scotland and previously held senior leadership positions at home and abroad for Cisco, 3Com and Cabletron.

    Whilst at Cisco Maggie founded four Cisco Networking Academies with not for profit organisations in Glasgow led by The Govan Initiative. Returning from working in The Netherlands and the USA in 2008 Maggie spent 18 months on secondment to Skills Development Scotland reporting to CEO Damien Yeates and subsequently served as a Non Exec Director from 2012 – 2014.

    She has rich international experience and in addition to The Netherlands and the USA has lived and worked in France, Switzerland and Germany.

    Born in Easterhouse, Glasgow she is married to Dougie (no children, 3 dogs) and now lives in Glasgow. Maggie is passionate about the digital divide, skills, gender in the workplace and beyond and undertakes Public Speaking engagements on these topics. She is a graduate of Aberdeen University (MA Hons French and German).

  • Founder and past CEO - Alan Bonner: Pinnacle Technology Group plc

    Alan is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, mentor and investor.

    He's the founder and past Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Technology Group plc. 

    Alan founded Pinnacle in 1998 and joined the London Stock Exchange AIM Market in 2007.

    Alan led the Company's vision purpose and growth strategy, through an extensive portfolioof products and skills, delivering 1158% revenue growth over the six year period since joining AIM in 2007.

    Alan retired from the plc Board in April 2014, and is currently organising the New York Times Bestselling Author of the E-Myth, Michael E. Gerber's UK tour - www.emyth.uk.com

  • CEO - Kenny Fraser: Triscribe

    Kenny is a Chartered Accountant and Management Consultant with over 20 years experience advising global companies in Mobile Communications and Technology sectors. His expertise covers all aspects of mobile and digital strategy, customer operations and finance. He has worked in over 40 countries and helpd leadership positions at UK, EMEA and Global level while a partner in PwC.

    In 2013, he founded Sunstone Communication Ltd and is the CEO of the company. Sunstone provides world class small business consulting a startup can afford. Kenny is an active Non Executive Director, board level advisor and mentor to technology start ups. He is on the board of Mallzee Ltd, Saloca Ltd (Appointedd), Hermes Apps Ltd and nexVa Inc. He has also recently joined the board of the Social Growth Fund, a risk capital find supporting social enterprise in Scotland.

    He has recently taken on the role of CEO for Triscribe, a University of Edinburgh spinout in medical informatics.

    Kenny is also an active member of the Scottish start up community and provides advice and expertise to startups in the US, Africa and Europe. He is a recognised speaker and writer on mobile and digital topics.

  • Principal - Paul Neeson: Scottish Equity Partners

    Paul is a member of SEP’s investment team, based in Glasgow, focusing on new deal generation in Scotland and portfolio management. Paul joined SEP in 2013 from Caird Capital LLP, the mid-market private equity firm, and previously held a variety of specialist roles at Lloyds Banking Group in the Integrated, Structure & Acquisition Finance Division.  

  • CMO - Richard Marshall: Kaazing Corporation

    I have experience across a wide range of software industry skills, from coding to corporate governance and strategy by way of being an industry analyst at Gartner. This includes all phases of product development from initial concept through implementation and on to sales, product management and marketing. I am an inventor of software technology, and have lectured, written papers, articles and reports for many years. I have held a variety of leadership roles including VP, CTO, CMO, and CEO.

    I am now bringing Kaazing's amazing roadmap of technology to the market, complimenting its already impressive portfolio of software built around simple-but-performant websocket use cases.
