Understanding today’s tech


This three-day course is aimed at business professionals who want to gain a deeper understanding of how digital products are made.


In our practical, hands-on 3-day course, you will learn the terminology, tools and techniques used by software development teams, including:

  • understanding of how contemporary software and web applications are designed and developed;
  • using basic coding skills to create a simple web application from end-to-end incorporating data;
  • key programming concepts, principles and vocabulary;
  • how to access, aggregate and display data;
  • the value and relevance of prevalent technologies: the internet, APIs, the cloud, machine learning, etc.

Our instructors are software and web industry professionals. Courses are delivered in an interactive, hands-on style through lessons, code- alongs and labs. All equipment, software and materials are supplied.

Day 1: Coding basics

Day 2: Working with data

Day 3: creating a web application
