Data analytics has become a crucial aspect of business for many companies, but few go beyond the basics and look at how data can be used to create actionable insights for the whole organisation.
CodeClan's Programming Series on R, the world's leading data analysis language, has proven hugely popular with companies across Scotland.
Machine Learning introduces the ability to use R for predictive analytics. This allows companies to look forward rather than back and introduce the power of automated analytical model building.
Taught by Jumping Rivers analytics company, this one-day immersive course is designed for anyone who uses R and wants to broaden their knowledge and use data more efficiently.
The one day course will cover:
Introduction to analytics - a general introduction and techniques in common use
Simple regression problems - simple and multiple linear regression and model diagnostics
Model selection & assessment - Cross validation and bootstrapping; penalised regression and shrinkage
Classification - KNN, clustering, logistic regression, Linear Discriminant analysis and associated diagnostics
Every participant will recieve a certification of completion and class notes.
We also offer an R Visualisation course this 7th December.
Note: We expect all attendees to have at least a basic understanding of the R programming language.
This course is eligible for the Digitlal Development Loan.
