Is sexism one of the reasons women are under-represented in IT?

By Stuart Alexander, Ops Manager, Be-IT

At Be-IT we work with a wide range of different clients and candidates. We are well aware that women are under-represented in our world.

We want to find out more about this.  While we know that one of the main reasons for the lack of women in IT Is that there are relatively few girls studying STEM subjects at school, we do wonder if that sometimes this is because their perception is that computing  is a man's world, with all that implies by way of subconscious sexism and discrimination.

To that end, we want you all  - men and women - to complete this short questionnaire.  It's being carried out by an indepedent, third party and we will run it over the summer and report back later in the year.

You can take the survey at this link Sexism in IT  Once you've done it, please circulate it widely and encourage your friends to do likewise.

Thanks, in advance, for your help.
