Andrew Duncan, founder and Managing Director of mobile and web technology business SwarmOnline, has been shortlisted for a prestigious business award.
Duncan, 30, is a finalist in the ‘Outstanding Contribution by a Business Leader’ category in the Inspiring City Awards 2018.
He said: “This is a great honour and whilst this might be an individual award I feel my nomination reflects the tremendous work done by the whole team over the last six years since we formed. SwarmOnline has built a global reputation and helped put Scottish tech expertise on the world map.” SwarmOnline is now part of a group of businesses set up or acquired by Duncan under the banner of parent company November 21. They include artificial intelligence platform Vaistak, mentoring software business Skillstep, fintech disrupter CU Soar and Glasgow deli/café Peckhams.
The Inspiring City Awards are run by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with The Herald newspaper, with the winners set to be announced at a gala dinner at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on Thursday 6 September.
