ID Cyber Solutions in the Caribbean

In partnership with the Regional Security System, ID Cyber are proud to be sponsoring and delivering the EC-Council Certified Incident Handler course at the Regional Security System Training Institute, Barbados, this week.

Our Global Operations Director and lead instructor Cary Hendricks is currently teaching the comprehensive specialist-level programme, which imparts the knowledge and skills that organisations need to effectively handle post-breach consequences by reducing the impact of the incident, from both a financial and a reputational perspective.

The programme is structured with a focus on real-world practical exercises, providing hands-on experience with the latest tools, techniques, and methodologies within a simulated environment. The course additionally maps to industry standard frameworks, allowing participants to establish how to map each type of incident they encounter to those standards.

Messaging us from the Institute’s training facility, Cary said, “This course is a brilliant way to learn real-world incident handling skills, so that you know not only how to detect security incidents but handle them in an effective, efficient way. It’s a privilege to be able to provide this course to staff from so many important organisations.”

Delegates from critical organisations across the Caribbean are in attendance, including representatives from:
– Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda
– Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force
– Barbados Police Service
– Barbados Defence Force
– Regional Security System Headquarters
– Royal Grenada Police Force
– Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force
– Saint Kitts and Nevis Defence Force
– Royal Saint Lucia Police Force
– Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force

Ian Kerr, Managing Director of ID Cyber, said, “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to sponsor this important course, helping critical services across the Caribbean upskill their employees and make sure they have a thorough understanding of incident handling best practice. Ultimately, ensuring your organisation has an up-to-date appreciation of current threats and recommended response procedures is one of the best ways you can keep people, data, and systems safe.”
