The Technology Value Gap: A Global Leadership Survey
As technology and AI continue to reshape business performance, innovation, and economic growth, an important question is emerging: Are today’s measures truly capturing technology value?
The Technology Economists, in collaboration with ScotlandIS, is inviting business and technology leaders to participate in The Technology Value Gap: A Global Leadership Survey, a global initiative designed to explore how organisations currently measure technology, where existing metrics fall short, and what new frameworks may be needed to better capture value, impact, and outcomes in the modern technology economy.
Many of today’s enterprises and economic measures were built for the industrial era and remain heavily focused on cost, efficiency, and spend. However, they often fail to fully account for areas such as AI-driven outcomes, digital platform value, data as an asset, resilience, innovation, and broader societal impact.
This short 5-minute survey gathers perspectives from CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, senior business leaders, policymakers, and technology professionals across industries and regions. Insights from the survey will contribute to a broader global conversation around the future of technology measurement and help shape the next generation of technology value frameworks.
Participants will receive early access to survey findings and insights.
The survey is open until 19th June – your input is greatly appreciated.
