Understanding the assets that you have, key vulnerabilities and indicators of compromise can be challenging. There are a number of frameworks that can be used to establish cyber maturity and suggest good practice – but what are the practical implications of this?

Using the example of the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) (which is increasingly a requirement or regulatory obligation in the public sector), we’ll look at the following topics:

• The changing threat landscape
• What are the objectives of CAF, and what are they trying to demonstrate?
• Lessons learned from supporting clients to assess where they are against CAF (including sector specific profiles), including:

– Detecting cyber security events across dispersed IT / OT environments.
