ScotlandIS Member Spotlight: Elite Project Consulting

In this Member Spotlight we hear from new Startup member, Elite Project Consulting, on their achievements as a Bloom Accredited Supplier and acceptance onto the Digital Technology & Cyber Services Dynamic Purchasing System for the Scottish Government.

Who is Elite Project Consulting and what do you do?

Elite Project Consulting is a Scotland-based consultancy specialising in Project, Programme, and Strategic Portfolio Management, alongside expert consultancy in Smartsheet, the Intelligent Work Management platform. Founded in 2024, we help organisations of all sizes, from global financial institutions and government bodies to boutique businesses, to deliver successful change and digital transformation. We offer hands-on project and programme delivery, strategic portfolio consulting, governance and best practice frameworks, change and transformation leadership, and expert Smartsheet consultancy. Our philosophy is simple: projects should do more than deliver outputs; they should deliver real, measurable business benefits.

Tell us something unique or interesting about your organisation.

What sets Elite Project Consulting apart is the rare combination of boardroom-level strategic thinking and frontline delivery capability. Combining an extensive range of qualifications, including the prestigious Chartered Director designation, alongside proven delivery experience means that clients don’t just get advice, they get delivery. As Smartsheet experts we can harness the AI-powered work management platform to genuinely transform how organisations run their projects, portfolios, and/or operational processes.

What is your biggest achievement as an organisation?

As a business founded late in 2024, we’re proud to have hit the ground running. However, one of our proudest and earliest achievements was securing our first global client and helping them to integrate multiple acquired businesses into their group structure. We are passionate about supporting the Scottish economy and helping local businesses thrive, so when we secured our first Scottish client and supported them with their Smartsheet solution that was a moment to celebrate. We are proud to be a Bloom Accredited Supplier and have been accepted onto the Digital Technology & Cyber Services Dynamic Purchasing System for the Scottish Government, opening doors to the public sector and third-sector organisations across Scotland. All of these achievements have validated our capability and approach, and have confirmed that organisations are looking for the kind of pragmatic, experienced, and flexible consulting model we offer.

What prompted you to become a member of ScotlandIS?

Scotland has a vibrant and growing tech ecosystem, and ScotlandIS sits at the heart of it. As a project consultancy that supports technology-driven change and transformation, and utilising our Smartsheet expertise to increase organisational productivity, we recognised the value of being part of a network that connects Scotland’s tech community. We wanted access to peer knowledge, collaborative opportunities, and the chance to contribute to conversations that shape the future of the industry here in Scotland. ScotlandIS felt like the natural home for an ambitious Scottish tech-adjacent business like ours.

What do you see as the main challenges for the tech industry in the UK and Scotland?

Several challenges stand out. Firstly, project and programme delivery failure remains a persistent issue across the tech sector with too many technology investments failing to realise their intended business benefits. The root causes are well understood; gaps in governance, insufficient executive ownership, limited portfolio visibility and a disconnect between strategy and execution. Elite Project Consulting was built specifically to address these challenges; bringing expertise, structure, and senior-level engagement to get projects back on track and keep them there. Secondly, AI adoption and integration presents both transformative opportunity and material risk; organisations need to move quickly and decisively but thoughtfully. Thirdly, skills and talent remain a pressure point as attracting and retaining experienced delivery professionals in Scotland continues to be a challenge. Finally, the pace of change is itself a strategic challenge. Organisations that thrive will be those that build delivery capability around flexible methodologies, underpinned by strong, experienced leadership.
