Deloitte Mark International Women’s Day by Partnering with “Empowering…” Programme

Deloitte is the latest company to partner on the “Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation” leadership coaching programme, as the first cohort of participants are confirmed.

The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day was “Choose to Challenge”, calling on women across the globe to call out gender bias and inequality wherever they see it and to celebrate the achievements of women everywhere. The “Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation” Programme was set up with just these principles in mind; to recognise the gender gap in digital leadership roles and to celebrate and empower the emerging and aspirational women leaders of tomorrow within Scotland’s public, private and third sector organisations.

The ”Empowering…” Programme Panel met last week to review the nominations for its first cohort of participants and have now confirmed the successful applicants for the three month, intensive coaching programme, running from April to June. With nominations having far exceeded the spaces available, the task facing the panel, made up of senior representatives from ScotlandIS, The Scottish Government, Sopra Steria, PDMS and newest Programme Partner, Deloitte, was a daunting one. The confirmed cohort is made up of aspirational women leaders from organisations ranging from local authorities, government agencies and NHS organisations, through to large corporates and innovative industry newcomers, ensuring a real diversity of experience within the group.

Commenting on the announcement of their Partnership with the “Empowering” Programme, Deloitte’s Lead Partner for Public Sector in Scotland, Angela Mitchell, said “I’m delighted to be involved in this programme as it combines two of my passions: digital progression and women in leadership.  I’m looking forward to helping create a cross-sector community which can provide a valuable source of support and collaboration for the long term benefit of all involved.”

The ”Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation” Programme is kindly supported by ScotlandIS, The Scottish Government and the Scottish Digital Academy, organised by Empowering-You and sponsored by Deloitte, PDMS, Sopra Steria and Head Resourcing.
