In an ever increasing digital and online world cyber security and operational resilience are increasingly vital and hot topics.

FinTech Scotland, ScotlandIS and the Scottish Business Resilience Centre are working together to connect the growing fintech and cyber communities in Scotland. We will hold a series of introductory and specialist events to share information, build knowledge and understanding and enable businesses to build confidence when it comes to digital, online and business security.

Cyber security is inevitably becoming an increasing priority with a rise in attacks and new threats that expose vulnerabilities when it comes to unauthorised access to businesses and the data they hold. It’s especially a worry for those involved in financial services and managing valuable and sensitive information.

The vulnerabilities come in all shapes and sizes, from infrastructure, systems, knowledge gaps and human error.

The good news is that there is an increasing pool of experts and experience in Scotland to help businesses plan, assess and mitigate these ever changing risks. Scotland’s cyber and business resilience eco-system is already vibrant and growing, and we’re delighted that a number of these experts will join us for an focused event on this topic.

Meet the experts:

Federico Charosky, the MD of Quorum Cyber. Federico is established in the cyber security sector with over 20 years experience specialising in cyber security risk management, strategy creation and deployment, and security operations. He has worked in security across a range of industries including the financial services sector.

Joanna Goddard, the Director of Programme at BRIM (Business Resilience International Management). Joanna works with some of the most trusted security firms in the UK as well as Police UK, Police Scotland and government agencies.

John Hay, Technical Services Consultant at Net Defence. John has over 20 years experience in IT and communications. He regularly runs education information sessions on secure communications, data and people, keeping up to date in an ever evolving world of digital threats.

If you’re a fintech business leader or working in security, operations, risk or compliance this is the right event for you.

If you’re thinking about developing or starting a fintech business this is also the right event for you.

We look forward to seeing you there!!
