Event Details

We all know the importance of having the right information at the right time and in the right format. But with ever expanding sources of data, it can be a real challenge to integrate multiple data sets and use these to gain meaningful insights.

Where do you start?

This free virtual event is intended for anyone who has an interest in data-driven innovation and how that can positively impact learning, teaching and digital transformation.

Our presentations will share some technical insights and research opportunities. This will be followed by a panel discussion with representatives from the academic community, public sector, technology and commercial community. Currently confirmed are:

  • Albert King, Chief Data Officer, Scottish Government
  • Jake Ansell, Deputy Director of Research and Professor of Risk Management, University of Edinburgh Business School
  • Charlotte Sadd, Strategy and Innovation – Personal Banking, NatWest
  • Katy Guthrie, Head of Data, ScotlandIS

The focus will be on meaningful innovation at an economic and social level. From the economy to health, and from research to practical applications, we’ll also be looking ahead to future solutions and collaborations.
