Join ScotlandIS as we launch our annual Scottish Technology Industry Survey on 28th April at the Autorek offices in Edinburgh.
Reliable information on Scotland’s digital technologies sector, its performance, needs and emerging opportunities can be difficult to obtain. Official statistics struggle to keep up with our fast-moving industry and more responsive surveys often cover only the UK as a whole, and do not provide Scotland-specific data. The Scottish Technology Industry Survey is a crucial contribution to filling this information gap.
For over 15 years, we have been surveying not only ScotlandIS members but all digital technologies-related businesses with a presence in Scotland. The survey reports provide information on the sector’s performance during the past year, expected opportunities and challenges, as well as details on skills requirements for the year ahead, all specifically for Scotland.
The ScotlandIS Technology Industry Survey is respected by both Scottish and UK Government as a key policy document informing policymakers in our sector. Findings from the survey allow us to lobby government with evidence-led policy. This information is also sought after by individual companies and investors in the digital technologies sector and beyond to inform business and investment decisions.
The launch event will include a panel discussion, featuring:
- Kate Forbes, Cabinet Secretary of the Economy and Finance, Scottish Government
- Karen Meechan, CEO, ScotlandIS
- Alisdair Gunn, Project Director, Glasgow City Innovation District and Founder of Framewire
- Marc Strathie, Head of Research and Policy, ScotlandIS
- Special guest speaker TBC
