As government and industry partner to achieve net zero by 2050, opportunities to develop the digital framework to underpin a smart, flexible energy sector emerge. The energy sector of the future will comprise millions of assets ranging from solar panels to heat pumps, with smart technologies in between. These technologies will play a crucial role in optimising operations and reducing energy consumption and costs by visualising real time energy consumption, tapping into demand side response to shift electricity use at peak times and access the lowest energy prices.
