Event Details
Our Software Engineering Leaders Forum (S.E.L.F) provides an opportunity for
leaders in software engineering, CIO’s and CTO’s from across the Scottish tech
sector to share ideas, explore common challenges and provide opportunities for
informal mentoring and joint working.
The topic for this S.E.L.F. meeting is serverless event-based architecture.
Join us on 16th July when we will be joined by Sharon Lindsay Program Manager –
Public Sector Solutions Architecture (EMEA) at Amazon Web Services.
Sharon has an in-depth knowledge of serverless event-based architecture and
will start this event with a presentation about her experience of working in this
field, covering:
● Components of a serverless architecture
● Capabilities of event streams
● Failure modes and delivery models
● Spanning clouds
● Message formats and protocols: JSON, MQTT, schemas
● Analytics on the stream
We will then open up to the group for Q and A and discussion of the topic and
related issues, challenges etc.
