25feb2:00 pm3:00 pmSharing is Caring: Digital Collaboration between H&SC and the Third Sector

Event Details

Third sector organisations are an underused resource for many patient care scenarios. There are twice as many volunteers in Scotland as the combined workforce of the NHS and Local Authorities. But third sector service providers are not fully integrated with the health and statutory social care community. The biggest challenge in moving to a more integrated and collaborative approach is trust – particularly as the third sector sits outside the legal and technology domains of the public sector.

Join SCVO, Food Train and SICCAR on 25th February at 2pm for this interactive Q&A panel session as part of CyberWeek Scotland to discuss the opportunities for secure collaboration and data sharing between the third and public heath sectors.

This session will feature a real-world example of effective digital collaboration to establish trust between health and third sector organisations, helping reduce food insecurity among older people.

Panelists:

Michelle Carruthers, CEO, Food Train
Alison Stone, Cyber Resilience Co-ordinator, SCVO
Rab Campbell, Director, SICCAR
